fonts as resistance

This project started out as a research project for a Visualizing Diversity course then expanded into something more. I have always been fascinated by fonts; I did my high school senior capstone project on the psychology & history of fonts and have never stopped researching them.

Last winter I decided to really dig into the intersection between fonts & another passion of mine, social justice & activism. The resulting project is an exploration of how fonts can be used as a form of resistance, structured as a series of questions, thought processes and case studies, and built in Google Slides & InDesign.
